BA LLB (Natal, now UKZN, 1993 and 1995) LLM (Wits, 2000).

In 1997 and 1998 I worked in the trade marks department of Adams & Adams (Pretoria) as a candidate attorney and then attorney after admission in February 1998.

From about October 1998 to December 2002, I lectured amongst others intellectual property law at the Wits Law School.  As counsel I have done some work in trade mark and copyright law.

My other areas of practice include administrative and constitutional law, competition law, general commercial law and international trade (the latter mostly for the International Trade Administration Commission and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition).

I am regularly appointed as an arbitrator in commercial disputes.

I have also acted as a judge in the High Court and Labour Court.

I previously also served as alternative chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Council for Medical Schemes, deputy chairperson of the Advertising Industry Tribunal and chairperson of the Advertising Standards Committee of the Advertising Standards Authority, and later chairperson of the Advertising Appeals Committee of the Advertising Regulatory Board.

I currently lecture topics in competition law at Wits University as a visiting adjunct professor.
